Southwestern University Mobile App UX & Promotion

In the summer of 2023, my team at Southwestern University was tasked with developing a mobile app for both the campus community and the general public. My responsibility in this project was to design the appearance of the user interface, including icons and layout, as well as develop marketing assets for promotional purposes.

A third-party vendor was used to wire up various customization needs to supply relevant information (student databases, various university services, etc.). Working alongside our in-house developer, I designed a look that is clear and easy to navigate, all while maintaining the refined and elevated aesthetic of the university brand. This was achieved by using Figma and Photoshop to develop the mockups, and Illustrator and Photoshop to design and export the icons.

Finally, the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator) was used to create the marketing and promotional materials, which included videos for social media and digital campus signage, printed posters and signs to be displayed around campus, and digital assets to be posted to the university website and digital channels.
